It's all change again in the primary curriculum following the recent Government announcement of the return to focusing on English, maths and science and the creation of the literacy and numeracy hours. This section contains a small compilation of practical activities that have been used successfully in early years classrooms to teach basic phonic and numeracy skills. They can all be adapted to suit a variety of scenarios - from contributing to a formal whole class teaching session to being used with one child at home on a wet Sunday afternoon. |
